That\u2019s why we provide grants that fully fund your own unique community projects called, Greenheart Global Impact Grants (GIGs)<\/strong><\/a>. We believe these projects go above and beyond simply serving a community \u2013 these are projects that truly carry the weight of our Greenheart mission of connecting people and planet.<\/p>\n To find out how these projects have made such a significant impact around the globe \u2014 check out this list of 7 Greenheart GIGs<\/strong><\/a> that have given youth the opportunity to create change!<\/p>\n What exactly are GIGs?<\/strong><\/p>\n A Greenheart Global Impact Grant is a financial award of up to $1,000, given to exemplary members of the Greenheart volunteer community, providing participants and alumni with the opportunity to create, improve, or maintain a community-focused project abroad or at home. All you need to do is get creative!<\/p>\n When do GIG applications open?<\/strong><\/p>\n This year, we will have TWO rounds of GIG applications with the following openings:<\/p>\n March 1st – April 1st, 2020 (APPLY NOW)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n November 1st – December 1st, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n Our alumni network continues to expand each year with more of our participants working towards an environmentally sustainable, socially just and peaceful world.
